First off, Finished Chronicles. Good book. I recommend it. I actually wait with anticipation to see if and when a volume 2 comes out. The chronology, or lack there of is what I found interesting about the book. Three parts to it, all different time periods, yet they all seem connected. From recording in New Orleans, having beer with Bono, to hanging around the Gaslight in the village it all makes sense.
Started reading Foundation. It comes highly recommended from T. Fogues. Also, Asimov and Vonnegut were boys so how bad could it be. I don't think I've read a sci fi book since I was like 14 but I'm willing to give it a shot, besides Asimov is supposed to be the best.
Story so far, mind you I'm only about 30-40 pages in. Mathematician leaves his home planet, which is basically in the burbs of the galaxy to come to his new job working on a secret project of sorts on what basically is the most heavily populated planet in the galaxy, something like 40billion people. Anyway he finds out his job involves predicting the fall of the galactic empire and this is when all shit goes wrong. Again I'm just starting it but I'll keep you posted how it works out.
